Mixed martial arts world class Anatoly Malikhin (35-Russia) has high praise for South Korean fighter Kang Ji-won (28), who competes in the same weight class as Asia’s largest organization ONE Championship.

ONE Fight Night 16 takes place on Nov. 4 at Lumpini Stadium (capacity 5,000) in Bangkok, Thailand. Kang will face Ben Tynan (29), the 2014 Canadian Wrestling Association Youth Championships freestyle -120 kg gold medalist.

ONE Fight Night 16 will reschedule the main card to air live on global OTT service Amazon Prime Video on Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. ET in New York City. In South Korea, the event will be available on Coupang Play.

In an interview with ONE Championship’s official website, unified light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Anatoly Malikhin said, “Jiwon Kang is a dark horse in the heavyweight division, one of my two divisions. I have great expectations from her. She is a fighter who can show even more than she has so far.”

Kang Ji-won has won all three of her fights by knockout since entering the ONE Championships in 2021. Her victory over Amir Aliaqbari (36-Iran), the 2010-2013 International Wrestling Federation World Championships Greco-Roman -96-120 kg winner, with a left counter in 1 minute, 54 seconds is the greatest achievement in the history of the Korean MMA heavyweight division.

Anatoly Malikhin said: “Kang Ji-won knows how to knock out opponents when they least expect it. She may be underestimated by some, but I predict another devastating finish at ONE Fight Night 16,” said Anatoly Malikhin, who also predicts she will knock out Ben Tynan.

Jiwon Kang also knocked out 2017 World Mixed Martial Arts Federation (WMMA) World Championships -95kg runner-up Mehdi Bargi (37-Iran) and “King of the North” Paul Elliott (31) before the end of the first round (5 minutes) in their ONE Championship bouts.메이저사이트

Anatoly Malikhin said: “Humanly speaking, Kang Ji-won is a good man. He doesn’t hurt people and doesn’t want to hurt people. But mixed martial arts is completely different, and in the end (no matter what the process is), he takes everyone down. I don’t think this fight will be any different,” he said, predicting a knockout for Ben Tynan.

One Championship Mixed Martial Arts No. 1 Anatoly Malikhin is considered one of the top 20 heavyweights in the world. That’s why his praise for Kang is not taken lightly.

Ben Tynan’s accomplishments in amateur wrestling at -129 kilograms include a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national championship and a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference Championships. He entered the championships with a 12-fight winning streak in his mixed martial arts career, including amateur.
