Martin hit in elbow by ‘luck of the draw’ pitch, check-up reveals simple bruise…”Status to be seen tomorrow”
It’s a lucky break.
NC foreign hitter Jason Martin (outfielder) was replaced after being hit in the right elbow by a pitch from left-hander Noh Gun-woo at Samsung Electronics in Daegu on April 1, but it was only a bruise.
Martin led off the seventh inning and was hit in the right elbow by a ball thrown by Samsung left-hander Noh Gun-woo. He was replaced by pinch-hitter Jae-Hwan Shin.
A club official said, “Martin was hit in the right elbow area in the top of the seventh inning and was replaced. He will be taken to the hospital for a checkup.” As a result of the examination, he was diagnosed with a simple bruise.
Speaking to reporters before the game on the 2nd, manager Kang Shin-ho said about Martin’s current condition, “I was worried that it was a big injury, but I’m really glad that it’s not. It’s still swollen, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see how it is.”스포츠토토
