‘Givenchy’s here, get out’…Travelmate plans to sell for $50 billion
Manchester City (Man City) is starting to trim its roster.
“Having bolstered their defense with the signing of Joshko Gvardiol, City now want to offload Aymeric Laporte,” the Mirror reported on July 7 (KST).
City announced the signing of Gvardiol on their official website on May 5. They reportedly spent £77 million (approximately KRW128 billion) on his signing, with a five-year contract.
Gvardiol has earned his place at City. He proved his worth as a key defender for Leipzig last season, making 41 appearances across all competitions.
He’s also been impressive on the international stage, where his impregnable defense helped Croatia to a third-place finish at the World Cup in Qatar.
Traffic will have to be cleared from the defense. With Laporte, Ruben Dias, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, and Gbadiol, City have a saturated central defense.
Laporte has emerged as the most likely departure. According to the report, City are hoping to realize a profit of £30 million from the sale of Laporte.
Laporte himself seems to want a move. After starting just seven games in the league last season, Laporte is reportedly looking to move to a team where he can be guaranteed game time.먹튀검증
Interested parties have also emerged. “Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa have been monitoring the situation since Laporte’s playing time began to dwindle last season,” the outlet said.
