Son Heung-min has been featured on James Maddison and Emerson Royal social media.

Last season, Tottenham had one of their worst seasons ever. The beginning of the season was fine. They opened with a seven-match unbeaten run and were right behind Arsenal and Man City. They cruised, consistently qualifying for the UEFA Champions League (UCL). Tottenham really faltered after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Antonio Conte gave a negative interview about Tottenham just before the A-match in March, and the club and Conte parted ways.

Conte’s assistant coach, Christian Stellini, took over as acting manager. However, things didn’t change, leading to a shocker. Tottenham lost 1-6 to Newcastle in the 32nd round. The Spurs conceded five goals in the first 21 minutes of the game. The loss led to the firing of acting head coach Stelini.

Ryan Mason took over as acting head coach for the remainder of the season, as he did in 2020-21. There was no reversal. The Spurs finished the season in eighth place with two wins, one draw, and three losses under Mason, failing to qualify for Europe for the first time in 14 years. Cup competitions were also unsatisfactory. Spurs were eliminated in the round of 16 in both the FA Cup and UCL, while the Carabao Cup ended in the round of 32.

Spurs have appointed Postecoglou as their new head coach. He has a four-year contract and is looking to start fresh. Postecoglou led Celtic to the Domestic Treble last season under Oh Hyun-gyu. Next season, the Spurs will not be competing in Europe, so they can focus on domestic competition. Postecoglou has no experience in the big leagues yet, but he should be able to prove himself at Spurs.스포츠토토

Last season was a bit of a disappointment for Son Heung-min. He started the season on the bench after a poor start to the season. On top of that, he suffered a major injury at UCL, fracturing his orbital bone and playing with a mask. This, coupled with the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, took its toll on his body.

At the end of the season, there was a shocker. Son Heung-min had been suffering from a sports hernia all season, but he played through it. Between the orbital fracture, the intense schedule, and the hernia, it’s no wonder Son was struggling. Despite this, he still managed to score 10 goals and six assists in the league.

Even Son acknowledged his struggles last season. “Next season, I want to show that the Sonny we all know is still there,” he said in an interview. Tottenham are now back in England after their Asian tour and preparing for next season.
